If the audience enjoyed it, got it, even through the bad direction and the  
senile actor, it MUST be a good play.  As someone said, it shown through,  in 
spite of the bungles. That's what makes good play writing, and that's what  
makes a play worth doing again, (with better results)
 
It's like a good story that gets mangled, mis-represented, and STILL people  
buy and read and enjoy.
 
There's so much %$$#@ out there, the good ones have staying power and the  
others line bird cages.
