What I liked about the radio (and now, audio books) was that you could 
be doing other things while enjoying the program, instead of being tied 
in one position. As a kidlet, I washed more than one sinkful of dishes 
while listening to one program or another.

A dear friend (thanks, Bill!) sent me this link for Old Time Radio fans 
and I want to share it with you: http://otr.net/ They have, at the 
moment, over 12,000 shows available to listen to -- free! I just enjoyed 
a couple of old Jack Benny shows. Theta, I see they have 100 Red Skelton 
shows in their library.
