TheBanyanTree: Rainmaker tree!

Well whaddya know!  This tree is a rainmaker!  The next day after my 
last post, the skies clouded over and by 1pm the rain began falling.  
Not torrents, but 8 millimetres, quite respectable and enough to quench 
the thirst of our gardens. It will take a long, long time to replenish 
our depleted reservoirs, but anything is a blessing. 

And, of course, we skiers anxiously welcome any moisture in the air that 
might transmute into glorious white stuff on our Alps in a couple of 
months time...which in spring would probably also help our reserves a 
great deal.

But the restrictions will still hold for a while...
