TheBanyanTree: A Poem About the Crazy Weather We Were Having

After the 70° F. weather for two weeks (well, no quite but close on a few
days), it is now back to normal, freezing nights and chilly days in the 30's
and 40's.

Winter's Chill Comes Late

The winds blow strong

But soft as silk

Against my face,

Whipping my hair

Into a frenzy

And blowing the fur of the dog.

Parting it to the skin

Flipping it helter skelter.

We put our noses to the wind

Taking deep breaths,

Drawing balmy air

Into our lungs

As we walk the path

Littered with nature's waste.

But fast!

But soon!

The unseasonable warmth

For the first of December

Will move aside for

The front from our north

That carries the chill

And the cold

Of frosted air.

Soon we will bury our noses

Into our woolen scarves

And the dog will finish his affairs

To quickly return

To the warmth of the house.
