Dear BanyanTree,
I just received this sad message from Mark Funk's wife, Cindy.
Unfortunately, I was out of town for several days and so I am days late
in sending this out. I'm so sorry to hear of Mark's passing and will
miss his anecdotes about life and love.
Julie

Hello Julie,
I'm Cindy, Mark's wife. I am using Mark's email to contact people.
You are the only one that I will contact from BanyanTree, so if you
could pass this on to others I would appreciate it.
I'm very sorry to say that Mark again returned to ICU w/2 raging
infections.. The infections so saturated his body even strong doses of
antibiotics could not help. We stood by his side as he quietly left
us, Monday, July 31st, 2006 at 12:45 P.M. I'm attaching his obituary.

TheBanyanTree has been an important part of his life where he could
express himself and also satisfy his appetite for writing. Two of our
three daughters also share his talent... maybe someday they will too
share stories with the BanyanTree writers.
Thank You, Julie
