Puppy energy freely abounds
As he jumps & leaps wildly around
Not checking to see if it's safe to land
He just flies into the air without a plan

Wires get tugged
Tails are pulled
Toes are pounced with glee
All things are explored with a wet little nose
And needle sharp baby teeth
Nothing gets in his way

I marvel that he's still in one piece
By the time the sun sets each day
