My husband loves fruitcake. Every YEAR he waxed philosophical about the
fruitcake his aunt used to make. He always says, to all of us
unbelievers, "You've never had a GOOD fruitcake."

So we buy them at bakesales and we order them online and I sift through
the pennatone and bread pudding boxes at the import market. And, dutiful
wife that I am, I sample them all with him. Each time I say, "Is THIS a
good fruitcake?" then I take my little bite and try not to make pickle
faces.

So I will try your recipe, Monkey boy. Maybe a valentine fruitcake would
be good - well, Ed might think so anyway.
