TheBanyanTree: Rough poem found in an old notebook

Innocent death flies in from the sky
I sit agape at incomprehensible horror
as tears of sorrow roll down my face
and I see my children's bewildered eyes
what has made their mamma cry?

Sudden impact burst of flame
war has come
we will never be the same
another comes more people die
and yet another
a flaming arrow in the side
of our leaders

terror strikes a spoiled people
no not here no not us
we scream at the flames
that burn in the rubble of our lives

(found in the back of an old notebook I was getting ready to throw 
away)
