TheBanyanTree: Allah's Tears

Who will dry Mohammed's tears for
the blood shed in his name, that unholy crime?
And who will comfort Emmanuel's sobs as
the bullets rob the world of souls?
Who will yield? Who will cry 'enough'?
Who will tell Israel it has become
the lebensraum thief? The children
who commit murder by suicide must
be told the truth about Allah's despair.
Who will say the truth? Where are the
prophet's warnings of old? Who are
the prophets today that can rattle the
heart and not the saber?

Who will collect the tears of Palestine?
Who will see the hopelessness of the
occupied people? Surely the holocaust
Jew will understand...surely the once
terrified hopeless juden of the diaspora
cannot wish to perpetrate the evils of old.
No, it cannot be. Unthinkable! And yet...and yet
Did not the ghetto "vermin" fight back at last?
Did they not say 'enough' once and fight to the death
because there was no hope and no other way?

Who will plainly say it? Who will?
Will the hate filled peoples in a once
holy land hear? Will they care? Do they
understand the irony, the sorrow, the tears
of Allah, Jehovah, Jesus and Mohammed?
Will no one climb the Temple Mount
and scream for the gods... 'enough'?
Will no one give the children at the Seder hope?
Will no one tell Israel they are dealing
in the currency of pride yet again? Will no
one speak the words of Allah's peace? Will
no Samaritan bring balm to the sensibilities
of the occupying military and the fevered teenager
ready to martyr herself for lack of a future?

Hold out your blood soaked hands, Israeli.
Hold out, too, Palestinian your hands that
run red...behold the tears of Jehovah...
Behold the tears of Mohammed, Allah
and Jesus...these mingled tears fall upon you
as one and mix in sorrow with the blood
you've all shed in their name. The crime of
hubris, the unholiness of holy wars...
Still your guns, stop the bombs and listen
Your god's are screaming ...'Enough'.
