Each day I hope he'll feel better, that he won't be "off," that I can expect
some support, but of course I can't, I know I can't, he's always "off," or
tired, or not there mentally or emotionally. If I'm lucky, his affect is not
flat. If I'm lucky, he's not "off." If I'm lucky . . . I think I have given
up on luck.

I am so tired. I long for comfort and security, stability and, yes, comfort
again. Someone to, perhaps, look after me for a change. It is asking too
much, I know. But I am tired. Too much so.
