Feedback loops occur everywhere in nature. A sense of fullness tells us we've had enough to eat. Feedback loops tell us how we're doing and give us warning or encouragement. Grades in school, oil pressure warning lights and coronavirus tests serve the same function. Saying that our high COVID infection rate figures are caused by too much testing amounts to saying truth is the enemy.

Sometimes thinking is the most painful thing I do.
