TheBanyanTree: Kiva

[Teague, Julie Anna]

I was doing Kiva loans, but I've since done a bit of research and I'm a bit unsure if it is the best way to go about the microloans, or if the money is going where you think it is going.  I need to do a bit more research, but as of now, I'm re-investing the money I have in there, but not adding more.

I’ve noticed on Kiva several other members of the Banyan Tree have participation displayed  to me when I sign on.  I’m asked to join a group, but find no group named “Banyan” or any derivative that I’be tried so far.  If there is a Kiva group for Banyan Tree members, I’d like to join—if there isn’t, I’d like to suggest that we start one.  

Any comments?  Takers?
