TheBanyanTree: '96? '97?

I was thinking Monday as I celebrated another Birthday. It was January 6,
1997, we celebrated my 53rd birthday in The Spoon. It was an all day
affair, There were our beloved Dee tending bar, Elyphants serving, Marines
causing Stargazer to swoon and the kissing booth. We got to know everyone
at those parties. Even those lurking behind the ferns popped in. I made so
many lasting friends then. Those parties became fairly frequent and were a
blast. Then that ol party poop Wes, stuck his head in and said we had to
stop; wasting too much bandwidth and forgetting the stories. The stories
were still there, but when the doors closed, the party really began to fade.

I too lost the muse for over 10 years, but looking hard again. I'm writing
again, but haven't posted much. The stories are rolling around, and I will
be back; just stories. If I have something to say about my life, it'll be
in a story and you may not know if it's fiction or not. I won't tell. I
love the stories. Lately, I've had to go to her blog to read Monique. It's
worth the trip.

Ah Paul, it was a 14400 modem when I joined The Spoon, but I'd only
invested in a 386. I did have Windows 95 beta as my Son worked for
Microsoft. You really had to love "Blue Screen". Windows 98 was better, but
it also invoked the daily (at the least) curse. I'm certainly glad those
days are behind. I've got 40 Mbps Internet speed here at home, and it isn't
fast enough anymore. What's a guy to do. Back to the stories.
