Margaret,

Your posting has helped me today more than you could ever realize. This
past Tuesday, my husband passed away instantly from a horrid accident. We
had spent the morning together, breakfast, then back to his house to play on
the computer (he liked to show me his mail, lol) and then we planned our
weekend. This weekend. You see, we had separated some years ago, and slowly
were making our way back to each other. We were talking "future" and
forever. and I realized that in spite of the crap that separated us, he and I
were always, he and I.

I am in a million pieces.

But, your posting helped, since I still feel him, smell him, hear him.

The great and sad mistake of many people is to imagine that those whom
death
has taken leave us. They do not leave us. They remain. Where are they?
In darkness? Oh no! It is we who are in darkness. We do not see them
because the dark cloud envelopes us, but they see us. Their beautiful
eyes,
radiant with glory, are fixed upon our tear-filled eyes. Our dead are
invisible to us, but they are not absent.
