it's called pubescent dumbness, and deafness and blindness. At least they  
are focused.  Mine were focused on their cars, their friends, getting to .  
.their cars and their friends, working for money for . . .their cars and 
their  friends, tending to every need for . .their cars and their friends.  Oh, 
 and their loud music.
 
There is another associated genetic pubescent failing called  
procrastinitis.  Putting off everything except. .  ..their cars and  their friends.
 
Only interrupted by LOVE, or the broken heart to follow. The extreme  
focusing on . .their LOVE, or the broken heart following. They are convinced:  
they are the only ones to LOVE as deeply, or hurt so badly after.
 
One good thing about the pubescent issues is they are curable. By the time  
the subject is 35 years old, they are pretty much over it or . . .the 
spouse  must then deal with it.
