TheBanyanTree: Fru of Jacks or Better Fame

The dog was actually my dog that I incorporated into my story, 'Jacks or
Better to Open' which was fiction, but based on much of my own life.

 

Well, this morning I had to put Fru down.  He was suffering from kidney
disease and there was nothing they could do.  It has been a very sad day for
me.  Tonight at 5:30 we will bury him in a grave near the river, near a soft
patch of moss, and where the sun streams through the trees on a bright sunny
day and lands right where we have dug his grave.

 

I had prepared myself (as much as one can prepare oneself) for the older
dog, Pugsey's death, but this came as a complete surprise.  I thought I was
taking him to treat him for a urinary tract infection at worst.

 

I will miss him terribly.
