It is a pleasure to see Sidda alive, even though exhausted.
I, for one, am eagerly anticipating news of the play in Bloomington, IN. I
was considering a trip there next year in fact. Bloomington, of all places.
Write more plays. I want to see more plays.
I shall be waiting. Impatiently.

"it raises in the mouth which
listens and position name the low man with underdeveloped genital organ"
God, this is great. I've always wanted to know how to say this.
When "Grapes of Wrath" came out, the was translated in Japan as "The Angry
Raisins." True. At least, it was in Reader's Digest, so... they have
fact-checkers, right?
Sidda is a live and exhausted after spending six weeks moving from her home
of 15 years. She now lives in not an artistic bohemian, multi-tattooed and
pierced chic neihborhood, but a working class, mutichild, single parentage,
English-not-first-language apartment complex. With a 26 year old male
screenwriter from Cleveland she met on Craig's List renting the second
bedroom. Get your minds out of your gutters, people -- it's platonic. In
fact, ever since we moved in here, he has been having power strugles with
his long-time long distance girlfriend who is a law student in Boston. She
want to date others, but still have Tim in LA. Tim is... resisting. And is
calling all his old girlfriends out here who he has unfinished business
with. He tells me of the stupid things he and his friends do, and I smile.
ast night he said I was easy to talk to, and he was glad that I seemed hard
to offend or scandalize. I said, You're doing exactly what you should be
doing in your 20's, Tim. You are making mistakes. Go for it. The more
mistakes, the wiser you'll be. Just don't drink and drive. Il throw you
right out of here onto your boxed ear."
Frankly, he's just not that into the law student. He just hates the thought
that she's with someone else.
Wull, DUR. Tim.
As soon as I can see the walls behind the boxes I am surrounded by, I'll be
back with more writing. A new apartment resolution is to Banyan Tree more.
Oh! Last week I got news that my first fill length play I've written in..
eight years? Ten? Anyway, it won a national contest! WooHOO! Bloomington
IN will produce it next spring. And I get bucks!
But the encouragement is worth more than that, of course. I should write
more plays. They win ot of awards. I can't find an agent to give a rat's
ass, but I have a very imporessive-looking resume.
I am off to bed now. I was kept up till 3 a.m. last night by one of the
neighbors practicing "Morning Has Broken" over and over and over again... on
his tuba.
xoxoSidda
