TheBanyanTree: Endless Summer

The grass is a bit greener again from a surprise rainstorm earlier this
week.

The flowers are blooming.

The tomatoes are ripening.

The summer breeze is warm, but not sultry.

No air conditioning in this house. All the windows are open to lure summer
in.

Swimming at the pool. Sunning on the deck.

Sneaking in a bit of Harry Potter whenever possible.

The smell of chicken, brats, and hot dogs on the grill.

The crunch of sweet corn.

The ping of the bat as the boys play baseball in the backyard.

The sound of crickets at dusk as the traffic sounds fade away.

No need for jackets and mittens.

No need to keep warm.

We’re already warm.

Let summer never end.
