Speaking of blue feathers, as we were loading the car for our trip home 
from Portland, I found a very wet, very bright blue feather beside the car, 
so I picked it up and put it in the car.  Gerry asked me why I was putting 
that soggy feather in the car, and I told him that Youngblood sent it to 
make sure we had a safe trip home.  He humors me when I say things like that.

The last few miles, we started hearing a really serious grinding noise in 
the front end of the car.  Gerry said it sounded like bearings going bad, 
so we took it in to the dealer the next day and sure enough, the bearings 
were worn down to practically nothing.  The repair guy said it was really 
lucky we didn't drive it a mile farther.
