TheBanyanTree: Nest Egg

In the beginning, there is oh so much space and plenty of nutrition.
Lots of warmth radiating inward. Growing and growing, consuming the
silky protein. The space becomes less but is plentiful. Stretching
means touching all of the perimeter but is still an option. Growth
continues rapidly and soon movement is very limited. All extremities
folded or bent, any expansion beyond a heartbeat is constricted. Soon,
there is a rending of the outer covering. Tenderly thin lines race
toward one another and away until it can hold up no longer and pieces
begin to fall away. Exhaustion, wetness, waiting, pain.

Emergence.
