TheBanyanTree: Foggy Morning

Another foggy morning. However, this one did not clear, the fog burning away
in the heat of the sun. Instead, it stayed grey, later giving 'way to a thin,
grey drizzle. I kept the horses in their stalls after their breakfasts.
There is something here called "rain rot" that occurs when horses are out in the
rain, and later the sun comes out. The remaining wet on the horses' backs,
acts like a magnifying glass when the sun shines through, burning into the
horse, causing the skin to blister, and hair to darken in spots, and fall out.
Nasty.

I left the horses in. The boy goats were out, since the three new mommy goats
were in the goat pen, tending to the three new kids. I went to help out a
neighbor by bathing her two dogs. She runs a pet boarding business, and on
occasion I also help her out when she has a "full house., as happens during
holidays. She can have as many as eighteen dogs in her charge, in addition to cats
and birds now and then. That's a lot of poop. That's a lot of noise.

I bathed her two dogs, and headed home in the drizzle to do my afternoon
chores. The horses were restless after being in all day. The goats were content,
the babes tucked close by. The boy goats were busy doing whatever it is they do
far out in the pasture.Mostly they play at head-buitting each other, or
standing on their hind legs to eat the trailing Spanish moss they can reach in the
tree branches.

It was still raining when I walked the dogs, and it looks as though it might
be wet all night. I don't mind a rainy night.
