Shut up, look interested, listen, and nod or grunt every now and then. Maybe ask a short question or two; The keys to seeming like the most interesting person, ever.

Life is too short for cheap cigars, cheap liquor, cheap computers.

Pot is overrated. 

Try to get over the flash memories that hit you out of nowhere of having said something awful and regretted it. There are more to come. 

Sometimes it?s a good thing to spoil your children rotten.

Reach the point in life where you don?t give a damn what others think about you as quickly as possible.

Admit when you?re dead wrong, fight like hell if you?re right. 

Your job as comforter at funerals is to listen and not say anything stupid to people whose sensitivity to stupid is heightened. 

Instead of looking at pictures of yourself ten years ago and wishing you looked that good again, keep in mind that in ten years you?ll look worse, so enjoy what you have. In the same vein, the trick is to want what you already have.

There ain?t no fix for stupid.
