Mom and Dad used to call our cars by  name, but it seems they were all named
Bessie.  In the mid-50s, they got an ugly green Studebaker.  The Studebaker
was bad enough, but the green color was truly awful!  However, that's what
we had, and as a teenager, I wanted to give it a "real" name, so I dubbed it
"The Green Flash."   I was the only one who called it that, though.

I love the name one of my friends gave her car:  Sadie (the Mercedes).

And then there was the license plate I spied on the back of a little Honda
Civic whose owner had grandiose dreams.  It read:  I - R - A - 4 - R - E
(for those who can't figure it out, answer is below.)

Cars were the only inanimate objects I ever named but haven't in years.
What would you name an old Toyota Avalon or a new Toyota Highlander?   Open
for suggestions!

Jeri...thinkin' that Jeeves was a pretty good name for the timer.....too bad
