(This is not MY story... it's Carla's. She had issues getting it to the
Tree, so I'm helping her along!! You have GOT to read this!!)

A few weeks ago, I came home from work and Fred excitedly led me down the
hall to "our" bathroom. The two boycats were sitting at the closed door.
It's hardly ever closed. Fred shooed them away and in we went.

In the trash can by the sink sat a baby possum. Yes, poor little guy was
scared but, Fred didn't want to let him go until he showed me his prize.
Little thing was safe if a bit battered looking. Seems one or both boy cats
had made a bit of sport with him. No blood, a few bare spots of skin,
though.

I picked up the can and he looked up and hissed at me. Couldn't blame the
poor baby. Well, I carried him out the door in our bedroom and set him free
outside. Boy cats were NOT happy with me. They stood at the door and cried
for him while standing on their hind feet looking out the window in the
door.

Baby possum was safe and we were happy to have rescued him. We wondered how
he got in the house, tho..........

I didn't sleep well last night, so when I came home from work today, I went
off to take a nap. Sure felt better when I woke up. Cozy, warm. Felt a cat
at my head. One of the boy cats checking in and going to snuggle with me.
Nice. For some reason I raised up to look at my kitty and met face to face
with a baby possum. There, in MY bed with ME!! By My head! I moved as fast
as lightening, and so did he. Off the bed and under it for him, and out the
door for me.

After I got my bearings in the living room I went back into the bedroom,
opened the door to the outside, came back out into the hall and shut the
bedroom hall.

Fred just came in a few minutes ago. He said hello. I said hello. Then, I
proceeded to tell him, MY possum tale. Thought the man was going to pee
himself laughing, at ME! I calmly thanked him for his support, all the while
hoping he would pee himself. I wanted him to run into the bedroom and get
the baby possum O U T. No, he laughs and asks what are we going to do
about dinner. How 'bout possum?
