TheBanyanTree: Glimmer

I had a message from a large company asking me to call them about a job I
applied for. I didn’t get the message until early evening, so I spent the
entire night feeling giddy.

I called the next day and had a 15 minute interview over the phone. She
said she would be contacting the hiring manager and asked me to fill out an
online form. My only concern is that I don’t know how to code in SAS. I’ve
used SAS for data base work, but only as an end-user, I didn’t do any actual
coding in SAS. But I’m OK with Excel and Access.

She said if I don’t hear from her in a week, to call her. To call her?
Most HR places don’t even give out their names.

So I have a little glimmer of what life could be like if I can leave my
prison. The door is cracked open just a hair. I have something to hold
close to my heart.

So I wait by the phone like a girl in love.

A birthday is just the first day of another 365-day journey around the sun.
Enjoy the trip.
