TheBanyanTree: What is love?

Thanks for the warm welcome back! It's good to see old friends and meet
new.

So what's new in my life these days? Here's today:

What is Love?

Love is a son who drives his mom from Austin to Dallas in time for church on
Sunday morning
To save her $60 extra because she missed her flight on Saturday and thought
she'd booked it for Sunday.

Love is a son who drives fifty miles to Dallas to pick up his mom at church
on Sunday,
Especially when he already had traveling plans of his own to go in another
direction.

Love is a little girl with flying blonde curls who comes running across the
parking lot
to throw her arms around you and say "Grandma!"

Love is a cherub whose eyes light up
And who takes her toe out of her mouth long enough to smile -- for grandma.

Love is all the loyal friends who clamor around to see
When you pull out the pictures of "my new granddaughter!"

Love is stopping at Olive Garden and blowing the $60 you saved on the flight
To treat your sons and family to lunch on Sunday.

And love is finally coming home when you've been gone all week
To find your husband has vacuumed the floor,
Carried out the trash,
And cleaned up the kitchen -- just for you.
