Jane* is a woman in her early thirties who lives with her current
partner in an Australian coastal city. She has a lively daughter aged
three; she also has chronic multiple sclerosis, so much so that she has
no feeling in her lower limbs and for a lot of the time she is bedridden.
I first met Jane over 25 years ago when she lived with her parents and
siblings not far from where I did. In those days she was learning to
play the harp and by the time she reached her teens she was an
accomplished player and composer. That was before she contracted MS, of
course.
Over the decades I have kept in loose contact with Jane's father and
about a year ago met up with him again. In a conversation about Jane he
mentioned she had been in hospital with very bad bed sores. In fact he
said she seemed to spend her time at home getting sick and then in
hospital trying to get well again. 'Trying' being the operative word,
each time she was discharged she was not as well as the time before.
He knew I was a Reiki healer but was unaware that the treatments may be
done from any distance away. I offered to put Jane on our nightly
schedule, subject to her giving her permission, and he was very
grateful. A week or so later I received an email with the necessary
permission and at once included her in our list.
Perhaps ten weeks went by before our paths crossed again. He told me he
had just spent fourteen days with his daughter and her partner and child
and was absolutely amazed at the changes in her since the treatments had
begun. There had been no change in the MS but her own attitudes to her
surroundings, diet, living conditions and so on had altered beyond
belief. Her dietary habits had never been good, he said, but now she was
eating much better than before and instead of relying on 'scratch' meals
when she was alone or feeling really off, she brought in outside
caterers. And the bed sores had gone completely even though she still
spent a lot of time lying down.
It's always nice to hear of results like that.
I sent him away with a Smartpipe - really a Smartbottle - to give to
Jane. About six inches high (150mm), the sports drink bottle is made of
pink plastic and has a push on lid; inside it there is a clear canister
containing a mixture of Australian bush flower essences topped up with
energised water. "Suggest to her that she put the bottle on a bookcase
or chest of drawers out of reach of her daughter - not that it would
harm the child at all if she did reach it but there would be
inconvenience if that happened."
"That's all? She doesn't have to take anything or do anything else?"
I shook my head, No. "The bottle carries its own power supply in its
colour and will transmit the energy of the essences throughout Jane's
apartment. It probably won't affect the MS but it will assist her to
cope with the condition better. She should feel happier too."
I heard from him again a week or so ago and he's very pleased with
Jane's progress. So am I.
