To my Granddaughter Katelyn, the most
delicate and whimsical small person I know.
She rises with the angels and dreams of the
fairies, and rides on the wings of the butterflies**.

THE BOY ON THE MOON

He sat on the edge

of the moon

fishing all night with a spoon;

the line spun round

spun down and down

until it stretched into June**

And the sun streamed

		through the mountain.

the sea rising up in a fountain,

spilling and spewing,

splashing and brewing

		and dazzling the boy on the moon.
