Kiss me gentle.
Kiss me soft.
Entreat me kindly,
I've suffered loss.


Gentle eyes
And kindly gaze
Melt my heart,
These are the ways


To reach the depth
Within my soul,
To see the me
That no one knows.

The one I keep
Locked up inside,
So pain and hurt
Will not abide,


And touch my heart
Or touch my soul.
In fear I keep
My outward cold.
