THE OTHER SIDE OF ME  ( a young mother's lament)


Sometimes God, I get so angry at them.
They don't eat fast enough.
They don't eat slow enough.
They play too loudly
Or I can't hear them
Playing in the other room.
And You know how it is
When kids're quiet.
They're usually into something.
They get on my nerves so badly.
Why don't they go outside and play!!


It's so quiet God.
My goodness it's lonely in here.
I wonder what's wrong.
I can't get anything done
For worrying.
I mean, I can't even see them
Out the window.
Where could they be?
I don't like it in here.
It's too quiet.


I think I'll call them in to play,
And maybe this time
I'll love them with the other
Side of me.
