Spoonoids:

The United States Two Dollar Note. They have been around forever,
since 1776. There was a new issue of them printed in 1976 for the Bicentennial,
and the latest issue was 1996, but you hardly ever see them in circulation. They
used to be popular at the race tracks (horses) for making the standard
minimum bet ($2.00). And they may still be, I haven't been to the races in years.
They are very un-popular everywhere else. Merchants don't like them because they
take up a slot in the cash register drawer which is not there. Or which is
reserved for the the more common denominations, 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100. Also,
the one dollar coin has been a flop each time the government makes up a new
batch.

Later, John.
