What? Oh.

There I was, minding my own business, surfing the web, looking for information
on hobo sign language (I'm married to a kind-hearted woman).

Next thing I know,

Next thing I know I've hopped a northbound freight with Wes (virtually, of
course; my real train-hopping experience was a couple hundred
sphincter-tightening yards in a boxcar when I was eleven) and I jumped off at
the Spoon Cafe. Runcible Spoon.

But ya never know what's going to happen. I mean, one day you head over to
the Pie Hut for a slice of apple-cranberry, and when you come back next week
there's a Walmart there in its place. So after your initial shock, you make
adjustments and start patronizing the Pie Hole across town. Pie is really
what it's all about, anyway. So I walked over to the Tree with everyone
else, and I've been hanging here ever since.

I've managed to attend some of the Banyan Tree gatherings and have met and
re-met some wonderful people. I hope to meet more of you in the future!

May happy circumstance grant us another four years together. I wish I had
time to write more; I DO make the time to read everything that comes into the
Tree.

best regards and pie for everyone,
Mike
