TheBanyanTree: ATale of a Woodcat

The Eroom looks out over a garden where, this year, the grass needs
cutting more often than not, the vegie patch has disappeared under a
mass of greenery which would bring delight to the heart of any neolithic
hunter-gatherer, and Lucy the German Shepherd looks up sleepily from the
couch on the deck. Just under a year ago in the depths of a drought that
was in its third year the grass was virtually non-existent, ditto the
vegie garden.

The contents of the Eroom betray the interests of the residents - books,
computer, cds, desks overflowing with documents, fax machine, telephone,
stuff. Pride of place goes to the pooter which in a fit of pique spat
the dummy a week ago for the 2nd time in 8 weeks, chomped up the address
book and bookmarks along with the links to the cdrom drives and vented
them into cyberspace. Fortunately all the data remained in place and
there was enough backed up to restore a semblance of the address books
lost.

Let me take you back eight months or so. Autumn in Canberra, not a blade
of green grass in sight, the water restrictions are biting deep into
lifestyles. In the Eroom as it is called a melodious chime sounds
indicating a message has arrived in the inbox. It was from a young woman
in the USA who is a member of this community and included something like
this:

> My Guide the Healing Angel, Raphael, says you talk with him but call him by a different name . . . . . . If you ever need my skills I am here . .

It was an email that would change my life completely though I had no
inkling of that then. I sat there a while, thinking of the little I knew
about this person, wondering how she had come to home in on something I
had been much perturbed about for almost a decade. Since 1995 in fact,
the year I lost my memory almost completely for 24 hours, the year I met
Robin, the year my life changed irrevocably from not-so-good to very
good. And the year I acquired a guardian angel whom I called Gabriel.

He figured often in the manuscript I wrote during that year, sometimes a
tall bearded human in a business suit with just a hint of gold fuzziness
at the shoulders, sometimes just a voice and a wingbeat, twice in his
full angelic, heavenly glory.

I am not a religious person, have not been for over 40 years, but I do
have a strong spiritual acceptance of God, or the One Above, the
Wondrous One, the Power of the Universe, the Source of all Energy, or
whatever name is thought most appropriate, and of the Realm often
calledl Heaven.

Well, I sat and thought and then I talked about it to a very good friend
of mine who I have trained to be an energy healer as I am. Her healing
name is Acacia and she has a farm in the foothills of the Australian
Alps. Following which I replied to my correspondent something along the
lines of this:

> I'm forming a healing group to be known as Team Woodcat - would you like to be a member of it?

Her answer was short and to the point - "Yes, oh yes please!"

So there was Acacia and then Foxglove as we called her and soon
thereafter Boobook (known to you as Robin) and within another month She
Who Walks Strong and Steady, from Washington, and Miss Ruby (Oregon). In
July, Crystal Heart (Oklahoma) came on board. Communications became
complicated so we turned to a Texan, Emupaul, for mailing list help.
Come October and Southern Starchild from Canberra joined the group.

If it were not for the Tree there would be no Team Woodcat for it is
inextricably entwined with this community and its predecessor the Spoon
Cafe. Foxglove, Crystal Heart, myself, Boobook, Emupaul are all members.
Our first new ‘joint healing’ energy recipients ‘belonged to’ or had a
connection with the Tree. We act together - the distances of kilometers
or time or ages are irrelevant for we have the help of Raphael. Using
the natural energies of Earth and Universe we transmit healing
treatments and essence energies around the globe for people, animals,
plants and places.

At the foot of the Tree not far from the duckpond there is a small oaken
door bearing the legend ‘foundation at remsset.com’. If you’re faced with
something you can’t handle or that frightens you or you need to talk
about, please feel free to open the door. There is no charge for our
distance healing services.
