TheBanyanTree: Christmas

As a soft drizzle floats in on the south breeze, as the workmen struggle to
finish enclosing the room addition by Christmas, as I feed the horses and clean
stalls and turn them out into the dark mists, as I hear and then watch the
flock of Sandhill Cranes drift in and land near the pond, then procede to
gossip, someone turns on the Christmas lights outlining the eave of the house.

No snow, no bundled group coming to carol, no breath in crisp air and crunch
of boots on ice. But, still, Christmas all the same.

I pause to consider all my friends, near and far, and to silently wish a
fulfilled holiday for everyone, and health and contentment and peace in the coming
year.

Joy To The World
