TheBanyanTree: October Moons

Behind October moons the stars repeat the cycle.
Birth, living, dying, and death with a brilliant glow.
The leaves that litter the lane have withered and
scatter and die at the mercy of the chilling wind.
They are as the yesterday dreams of youth that failed
among the other lush green dreams of summer.
Dying dreams are merciless in the accusatory drama
that unfolds as they wilt and harden while bleeding out.
Failures all, death comes at the price of the ego,
hope, and the high cost of unfulfilled prayer to empty skies,
death cycles of stars and full October moons.
Bury your dead dream and choose the next...step right up folks.
This won't hurt a bit. Give your all, do your best!
The pursuit of life and happiness is a dream that is worth
dying for ...except...except when the dream dies first.
Then you are left with ghosts and shadow puppets of what
might have been had you not pissed off some universal Big Shot
that obviously didn't deem your dream worthy of consideration.
October moons, dying dreams and dead leaves make for
boon companions as the leaves swirl and tease the night with
their wicked dance. The darkness is a safe place to mourn
the dead dreams that litter the lane among the rotting leaves
and rotting flesh of the dying dreamer....Yes, step right up, folks!
Pay your dollar and find a seat! A new farce is about to begin.
