2003 Spoon Banyanrama Hoedown At The Farm
Hi, I'm Sheri aka Crow Woman. I know there have been some new tree dwellers coming aboard our lovely Banyan Tree. So if you don't know anything about this, let me fill you in... smiles.
Alright everybody... it's soon approaching! We have about a dozen or plus a couple more already planned on throwing their tents up at the farm August 22-24 of this year in Covington, Pennsylvania. WOW... I'm so excited, you know, this will make it my fourth year of hosting all of you fantastic, wonderful, crazy, nutty, insane, caring, loving, warm and fuzzy people!
Gary and I have a little more work to do on the 8x12 cabin. And the Pink Flamingo Room(outhouse) needs some decorating detail and general cleaning also. The sweet corn seems to be knowing of your arrival because it has perked up and is growing sweet delicious cobs just for us. The pumpkins and gourds are flowering and producing fruit for the grand tour of all of you.
Miss Shadey Lady Dog and Miss Silky Kitty keep on asking me when you are coming. They can be so impatient some times. Oh and one note that I have been asked to say to you is, "My name is not Nylon, it's Silky!" grins
Maria, Pam and Carla, do you got your covorting shoes on? I understand there will be Speedy Gonzalos bringing along her guitar. I have been brushing up on Janice Joplin songs to sing around the fire...lol
New additions is the hot tub along with the shining, stunning, real man not dipped in chocolate(well only if he chooses to be ;0) , brave) August centerfold, Mr. Cabana Man, himself serving us drinks and towels on the back deck, our none other than Mike. Or at least, that was how it went the last time we talked.
Okie Dokie, here's the skinney... Bring along your tents and camping gear to pitch out on the fields up over looking the valleys and hills of the farm. Bring along four wheelers also if you would like. Trucks and jeeps and vehicles like that make it up the tractor made road to the fields, vehicles do not. Bring along groceries to prepare a special dish for everyone if you want to. If not, there will be a money jar to contribute to for the costs of the meals.
Hayrides(if you do not know the chorus of Green Acres before hand, guaranteed you will by the time the ride is over), hand pick your own sweet corn, pick wild flowers, walk around the 270 acres of farmland including a new logging road that has been done in the woods above my house. Howl with the coyotes, exchange stories, get to know the faces and people behind the words. You can even tour the dairy barn and maybe milk a cow just to say you did it...LOL... or play with the many kitties and calf and heifers.
The house is open for, showers, cooking, air conditioning, hot tubbing, laundry or just getting out of the eliments.
I think I have covered everything and if I didn't, then by all means, someone else chime in here... smiles
Be looking for the golden spoons and pink flamingo's to guide your way to the farm... hehehe. I'm told new arrivals are on their way.
And for you crazy out of the country nuts that like to make surprise phone calls, I have a cell phone number this year to give you all which will be with me up at the stomping grounds... smiles
Any new dwellers that would like more information, feel free to drop me an email, off line of course, and I will help ya out with whatever I can answer.
Haven't heard anything from Dale or Alice lately. Hint hint... nudge nudge... smiles
So come on everybody, come on out to the farm and relax and enjoy for a weekend. And for those who can't make it this year, keep your chin up and remember, there is definately a next year... hugs
