Tziptkeh is the Yiddish version of Tzipporah, though Tziptkeh has the diminutive ending. Tzipporah was Moses’s wife. Though come to think of it since it was common for men to have several wives back then (way back then) she was his FIRST wife. Tzipporah means bird or at least in Biblical Hebrew. So Tziptkeh means "little bird", not that the meaning is consciously thought of when the name is spoken.
Come to think of it……when I contemplate a man having numerous wives, the thought of subjugation is not far behind. What right does anyone have to own another living cognizant being (says the parent of a cat)? But on second thought. Think of the multiple wives as a unit and it could put the fear of God into the husband who wouldn't ’t think twice to beat the crap out of wife number 5 except that wife numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 are simmering with their kindly thoughts on the periphery.
Step by step the longest march
can be won
can be won
Many stones can form an arch
singly none
singly none
And by union what we will
can be accomplished still
drops of water turn a mill
singly none
singly none
Poor hubby.
(that’s an old solidarity song from I think the miner’s union)
