On the subject of gadgets with multiple uses: The gadgets, for me, add more clutter than they are worth, though watching them go at it is fun. Still, I imagine a kitchen overstuffed with every time and space saving widget invented and IF there were enough storage space to house them, it would take more time to go and fetch them for there special uses than the time it would take to do the task by hand.

Using the Cuisinart is easy and fast. Cleaning and drying it is less so.

I prefer my gadgets to reflect my own multiple use functionality. Still, if it came to a choice, I don’t want anyone deciding which is indispensable: the multi-use gadget, or me. If it were about storage space, I should start packing my bags.
