A quiet morning is interrupted by the announcement "A fire engine is in front of our house." An ambulance with flashing lights parks two houses away, followed by a police unit parking across the street. No sirens. A person with medical accessories is brought out on a gurney. Wife and son with somber faces follow the still-silent ambulance.
