TheBanyanTree: The first thing I do

I like how easy to please some people are!

This morning I was laying in bed, which is just one of several places I
like to lay, when my phone rang. It rarely does this because I usually have
it turned to silent -- not that it rings all that often, but because the FB
updates make a sound that really annoys the dog. It was my doctor, though I
wasn't expecting him to call until Monday. He told me my knee is basically
worn out. There's no cartilage there, which I find annoying because I'm
fairly certain that I was born with cartilage in my knees. I mean, where
did it go?

Ice and Aleve, and we hope that'll work for now. If it doesn't, orthopedist
comes next, but we're trying to avoid that because those people like to
cut, and I do not like to be cut upon. I mean, if I had to choose between
cut and being uncut, I'd choose uncut. Besides, I'm terrified of surgery.
Not because it's surgery, which itself is very fast (conceptually) and
painless, but what happens after surgery. Last time I had surgery I plunged
into a long and depressing depressive state, which sucked for a long time.
Did I mention it was long? However, I did get rid of my chronically
inflamed gallbladder, so it wasn't a total loss.

Not a total loss. That's my new daily . . . what's it called? Anyway, not a
total loss.

Good name for a grunge band.
