Thanks, Tom! One of the ironies is that one of the reasons that I love
touring on a bicycle and even commuting to the office on it is because
it is slow travel. I get to experience my surroundings. It takes me 20
minutes to get to the office instead of 10, but I get to say hello to
people in the neighborhood, enjoy the flowers, and listen to the birds.

As I was slowly going up the big hill on the way to the office this
morning--don't want to get too sweaty on the way there--an older person
called out to me, "Barry! Don't you remember me?" Well, I know the Barry
he was referring to but I stopped to explain that I wasn't Barry nor did
I know him. And we had this wonderful chat about recumbent bicycles and
the old Bike E that he has that has been hanging on the wall for a few
years. It made me a few minutes later getting to the office but added a
special touch to the day.

I enjoy being old enough to get to go slow when I want to.

Cheers,
Chris
