Hmm Sachet. Your emails keep getting caught in my spam folder. I'm trying to
tell my Windows Live Mail that you are okay. Sachet is our friend!

Anyways, ouch. I hope your eye heals quickly.

Subject: TheBanyanTree: ice & eyes

Only I would find myself explaining to my ophthalmologist how I managed
to poke myself in the eye with the pooper scooper handle. <sigh>

There was a baby mouse on the driveway right near the bottom back deck
step. I didn't want to kill or hurt it, but I wanted it AWAY from the
house. So I thought the scooper pooper would make a perfect little cage
for me to use to toss him into the woods. Only he moved and went under a
rock.
SO. I got a stick and nudged him out and almost had him safely in the
scooper, then he squeezed under another edge of the rock. As I bent down
to nudge him out again, the scooper shifted and the handle JAMMED right
into the corner of my left eye at exactly the same moment I was bending
over. If you can say "DAMN, that hurts!!!!!!!!!"
about 100 times, you might come close to describing the pain. My eye
is so swollen and it hurts so much it gives me a headache. I should
probably go to Urgent Care, but I would rather not sit for hours with
all kinds of sick people when I can see my ophthalmologist tomorrow and I
trust her judgement better anyway. I just want to make sure I didn't
tear my retina or anything that needs to be addressed.

Corn bags do make great ice packs for eyes, though.

I bet I have a doozy of a black eye by tomorrow. My kidlets will love
the eye patch. See, there's always a silver lining. <g>
