TheBanyanTree: I had the *best* ride ever today!

I meandered all over the place enjoying the gorgeous day. I was smiling
every time I got to a curve and could settle into it. I love the curves
so dayum much!

Then....well....it just seemed like it was a day made for flyin'. So
once I hit the straight away on the way to Rushfork Ridge I just kept
going faster and faster, grinning more and more, until I hit 90mph. My
speedometer only goes up to 100mph, and I thought I better check with
my bike mentor before I do that.

At one point I ended up on I-40 going west and was really glad that all
the semi's were going the opposite way because there were SO many of
them. And even though I was going 60-65mph everyone was passing me like
I was standing still. It wouldn't have felt all that great surrounded by
big trucks.

I only had a few squirrelly moments on our road, and that was only when
I was coming back home because the road was even wetter & muddier since
it was so warm today and more of the snow melted. But chanting
"No, no, no, don't do it." over and over whenever a tire would slide
sideways seemed to help <g> and I stayed upright. It took me about a
half an hour to clean all the mud off though. I had packed away a 3
liter container of water and washed it down outside first. That helped a
lot.

Now it's all shiny and ready for another ride. Whenever that may be. I
was just so darn happy to get to ride today!!!!!!!!!!

I took a few pics once I got back home and just now added them to FB.
Why I left the camera at home is beyond me. I coulda got some great
shots today. The next nice day I am riding up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
