TheBanyanTree: Sort Of About A Mixer

A whining noise? Seems to be ok otherwise?

My mom bought a white K5 because that was the only color in 1970. She
made bread. Six loaves a week.

She and my sisters made so much bread that after a while they didn't
have a recipe. They just made bread.

In 1976, the K5 stripped a gear. Well, yeah. Six years and six loaves
a week....

Mom took it to the nearest KitchenAid repair shop. Which was in Corpus
Christi, an all day round trip from Edinburg. This was when KitchenAid
was made by Hobart. They replaced a couple of gears and gave it good
cleaning. Charged her like $60. It was like new and it is still
running. Tho mom doesn't make bread anymore.

When I bought my KitchenAid, I bought a K5. Of course. White.

I'm not very good at making bread. I need to figure out how. I have a
bread machine which does ok but not really awesome.
