And. . a Happy and forward New Year to you, too.

I woke to rain. It had rained all night (though I was so tired when I
finally went to bed I did not hear it) because the driveway has puddles, and all
the outdoor dog dishes are full.

I don't mind the rain. We needed it, and . .it isn't snow.

In watching the rain, and putting the horses into their stalls for the day,
I had the fleeting thought that God promised he would not wash the wrong
from the world again with a flood. But . . he's like the parent glancing at
the whuppin' stick behind the door, he's saying a quiet . . "watch
yourself" to all Mankind.

I have no resolutions. If I lose the weight, chasing horses and kayaking
will do that, and if I can stay away from the smoothies at work. I already
don't smoke nor drink to access. Like Margaret, I do like a sip of wine
now and then. (and my place of employment is putting in a winery within the
year, and I hope to be part of that endeavor.)

Last night I was a tattletale. . . called 911. (YOU ON THE NORTHBOUND
FREEWAY IN THE RED CONVERTIBLE DRIFTING FROM LANE TO LANE AND MAKING US ALL
NERVOUS ON NEW YEAR'S EVE, YES, YOU, WITH THE WAVING HAIR AND THE GRIN ON
YOUR FACE, . . .YOU'RE BUSTED.)

Happy New Year to you all.
