Hey to the list,
brand-new as in finished today. Let me know what you think if you like.
Thanks,
Jake
CANNERY WHARF
they had gained the wharf
and in defeat
we fell back facing inland
pushed against the sea
until one by one
my comrades just fell
by what virtue I remained
last on a foreign shore
I don't know
my presence flouting
giving in
I conjured myself as a child
probing for a previous occurrence
of the slip
something I needed to explore
in depth
I dove
submarine shape
I'd gladly rent the vessel
if they'd let me keep the message tinned
I thought
as I set myself to fall in
the surface reflecting the fleer
All is clear in a glass abyss
