I definitely share your gratitude!  And for now, I can be grateful that none of my kids  or grandkids are teenagers - althoug the 10 year old is getting close - and I have a few years yet to be thankful!!!

I picked up my youngest son and two of his female friends from the dance.  One of them
said as she was getting into the car, "I sat over all by myself and looked sad, I thought he'd
come ask me to dance!"

I looked back at her and said, "The trick is to ask THEM."

She said, "No, then he'd think I like him, and I don't."

"Then why did you want him to ask you to dance?"

She rolled her eyes (I couldn't see it, I was driving, but I know she did), and said, "It's
complicated."

I can't tell you how happy I am that I am no longer a teenager.

Sheesh.
