TheBanyanTree: I keep forgetting to tell you this story....

Our leaves fell weeks ago because it gets colder here than where Chelsea
(daughter)
and Chad (son-in-law, whom we adore) live.

Chelsea and Chad have been in the midst of all the falling leaf splendor
during the past few weeks. Chad was driving them home the other night
and swerved the car a bit when a bunch of leaves blew in front of them
traveling from one side of the road to the other. When Chelsea looked at
him wondering what was wrong he defensively exclaimed "I thought it was
a flock of kittens!"

Chelsea said she couldn't stop laughing and good-naturedly teasing him.
"A flock of kittens, honey?"

It's been really windy here this week and yesterday a bunch of leaves
swirled across the road and startled me. I thought it was little birds
and started to brace myself for the emotional impact of one of them
hitting the car. We don't swerve for stuff here, because there's not
much leeway on some of our roads. Then I got the giggles when I realized
it was only "a flock of kittens".

I know I will always and forever think of Chad when I see a group of
leaves blow into my path. <g>
