She always seemed to do stuff first.  And if there was a way or reason
to tease her for it, I did.

Well, I'm sorry.  I take it all back!!

She'd visit and suffer from 'old lady hip'... that malady whereby a
perfectly useful and ne're-do-wrong bone would suddenly be pained to
move.  I laughed at her old lady hip, oh yes I did!  I scoffed out loud
- ha ha ha!!  Because you see, I was a few years younger and I suffered
no such pains.

Right up until I did.  Suffer from the old lady hip. Not everyday, and
not always very painfully.  But, I know I have the same hip and
occasionally it rears its ugly head.  Or hip.

Then we'd be sitting around chatting and all of a sudden she'd grab for
something to fan herself with!  Given her age (some amount of a number
larger than mine!), she'd  explain about 'hot flashes' and I would
laugh!  Oh yes!!  Me again, scoffing out loud!!!  *I* would never put
myself through such unpleasantness!!!   Ha!  I told her, "I'm not doing
*that*!  I'm going straight from 'Hot Babe'  to 'Old Hag', with nothing
in between!!  And I'm almost there too!!"

Oh yes, I thought it was a giant joke these things that affected her and
her aging self.   Right up until they started to affect me and my aging
self!

So, Il freeze.  Inside, outside, wherever - if the temperature is much
below seventy degrees, I'm shivering and reaching for a sweater.  Right
up until I rip it from my body because I'M DYING IN HERE!!!!!!!!!!  And
I find a fan, and I stand in front of it full blast to cool my heated
body.  

Right up until I'm cool, and then I'm freezing again!

Okay Carla - I'm SORRY!!!!  I'll never tease you about this stuff
again!!!
