Oh, wow, I hear you.  I love them, and they grace me with their  presence in 
my pasture.  This Spring they must have nested nearby, since  they now come 
with a single fuzzy baby in tow.  They signal their flights  with their strange, 
compelling call, and let me know they are here for  breakfast.  Now, of 
course, they simply walk the distance from their night  roost to my pasture pond. 
But, they still parade through, keeping watch over  their young one.  They do 
not mind the horses grazing nearby, but go about  their business near or among 
my little herd.  Maybe the horses stir up the  little stuff they eat.
 
At any rate,  I love you posting.
